HS Training Co. started in 2019, founded by Justin Hamilton and grown with the support of a great number of clients and industry allies. These supporters are too numerous to name here, but we are grateful to you all.

This journey started in 2011 where delivery of training in the rental world was the “job”. With extensive experience in the industry (15,000+ seats trained) over a thirteen year span, we have learned what truly matters— actually caring to engage the learner by connecting with them and inspiring their want to learn, providing exceptional and measurable programs, offering additional resources that provide tangible benefits to the client (see our resources tab), and making high quality training accessible to all. What truly matters was not achievable in the “job” as it was. So it was time to move on, venture out, create a learning environment that is meaningful and departs from the “industry standard.” 2019 was not the best of times to start… Again, so many thank yous to our long time, loyal supporters.

Why the Triangle?

Our logo was born out of necessity. Individuals and organizations that are charged with verifying training want to see signs of credibility. We want to keep our costs low so we can make training more accessible. To appease those seeking signs of credibility, while keeping our training at accessible rates, we built a squarespace website ourselves and hired a young man on fiverr to create our logo. We offered little guidance and he produced three options. The triangle just fits. We approach most things in threes. The approach to our training is Accessible to all, Engaging in approach, & an Efficient balance between time and learning outcomes. Our approach to the outcomes of training is to ensure we provide Measurable results, leave learners with Enduring skills, & Enhance the learners skillset regardless of their level prior. Even our services have a trifecta, and the elements within do too: Accessible in approach, to the wallet and the calendar. Respectful of your time, your ability, and your person. Make Quality accessible to all, make it our service, ensure it with our knowledge. We can go on, but to summarize the triangle had no meaning when we adopted this logo. It looks great on clothing and offers a visual layer of credibility. Only in writing this we have found meaning in it, we could rewrite this but the truth is, the relevance came literally now.

Goal

Our goal is to redefine what training is and make it accessible to all. We want to connect with the learner and inspire their learning. For our client we want to be mindful of your time, provide exceptional value, and return to you qualified workers. Training can be efficient, high quality, mindful of time, and accessible. Justin Hamilton

With a decade and a half of experience in heavy equipment and safety training, I have worked with some of the largest rental companies in the GVRD, training thousands of individuals and organizations. During this time, I observed that training was often seen by the learner as a formality driven by compliance mandates and profit, rather than a genuine opportunity for growth and development. Integrity and faith in these services was lost.

I chose to leave the rental world because I believe in a different approach. Training should not be about meeting minimum requirements or checking boxes. It should be about truly connecting with the learner, understanding their needs, and delivering training that is impactful.

My mission is to transform the training experience. By prioritizing the learner, determining their needs, and creating an engaging and supportive environment, we ensure that every trainee leaves with enhanced skills, greater confidence, and a renewed appreciation for the value of training.
