Mobile Equipment & Fall Protection Training
Boom and/or Scissor Lift Training
Valid for 3 years Delivery: Theory Lesson: live online or live in person. Practical Training & Assessments: in person, at your location or one of our partner host locations (Langley, Aldergrove, Vancouver, Kelowna, Kamloops, Salmon Arm).
Training is built to comply with CSA B354.7/.8
Training Components (including all that is relevant to the trainee’s workplace and machine, but not limited to) - risk assessment - selection of an appropriate MEWP - importance/location/storage of manufacturer's manual(s) - placards, and decals - applicable regulations and standards - purpose of the weather-resistant storage compartment - inspection and maintenance requirements - stability & configurations of the MEWP - ground conditions: slope, and grade - hazards identification - intended purpose/function of MEWP controls/features, emergency controls & warnings - common troubleshooting/operator errors - PPE including fall protection, appropriate to the task, work site, and the environment - safe travelling procedures and route inspection - loading and unloading procedures for transport - securing the MEWP from unauthorized use - rescue preparedness - obtaining familiarization, including any accessories - requirement to operate the MEWP before a qualified person to demonstrate proficiency - passenger requirements (occupant orientation) - exiting the MEWP at elevation - operating procedures - practical skills training - general knowledge verification - practical skills evaluation
Time Certification: Full Day for Scissor & Boom Combined (Less for Scissor Lift or Boom alone) Re-certification: 1-4hrs (pending performance review and # of attendees call for details).
Practical evaluation, theory and practical training compliant to CSA B354.7/.8 and BC OHS Regulations.
Fall Protection Training
Valid for 3 years Delivery: Theory Lesson: live online or live in person. Practical Training & Assessments: in person, at your location or one of our partner host locations (Langley, Aldergrove, Vancouver, Kelowna, Kamloops, Salmon Arm).
Training is built to comply with BC OHS section 11 and other relevant sections.
Training Components including all that is relevant to the trainee’s workplace and equipment but not limited to: -OHS Regulation Part 11 – Fall Protection - CSA/ANSI standards - Hierarchy of fall protection systems - Fall protection equipment - Fall protection plan & employer requirements - Fall protection equipment capabilities & limitations - Harness fitting workshop - Fall distance calculations - Fall protection system analysis or setup - Harness suspension (optional)
Time Fall Protection limited: 4hrs Fall Protection User: 8hrs
Training compliant to BC OHS Regulations. Fall Protection Limited may be combined with MEWP re-certification training.
Forklift and/or Telehandler Training
Valid for 3 years Delivery: Theory Lesson: live online or live in person. Practical Training & Assessments: in person, at your location or one of our partner host locations (Langley, Aldergrove, Vancouver, Kelowna, Kamloops, Salmon Arm).
Training is built to comply with CSA B335-15
Training Components including all that is relevant to the trainee’s workplace and machine, but not limited to: - legislation - company policies and procedures - operating manual - lift truck features and safety equipment - capacity plate and location - stability - pre-operational inspection - start-up - travelling with and without a load - pedestrians - load handling load selection, security, and integrity - load pickup and placement stacking/destacking - docks, trucks, shipping containers, and rail cars ramps - grades - personnel lifting, lowering, and supporting - elevators - workplace-specific hazards - shutdown - leaving the operator's position - refuelling/recharging - propane cylinder & refuelling - recharging - practical skills training evaluations - general knowledge verification - practical skills evaluation
Time Certification: Full Day for Forklift & Telehandler Combined (Less for Forklift or Telehandler alone) Re-certification: 1-8hrs (pending performance review and # of attendees call for details).
